Approximate locations of Stops 1 - 12

Below is my old "Stop" information that was available to us (the public) in 2006. I am leaving this info on my web site until I get a chance to verify the new "stop" coordinates. Even though I am leaving this info on the web site, I still HIGHLY recommend using the coordinates provided in the new "Lincoln Co. Rock Art Guide". If anyone has any feedback regarding the coordinates in the new guide, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. |
Stops 1 - 10
The coordinates that I have listed below are the conversion of the UTM's provided by the BLM in the brochure above. Stops 1 - 7 have a site within 25 feet of the coordinates provided in the BLM brochure. Stop 8 as per the BLM coordinates, is about 100' west of what I am assuming is the actual stop. I provided the corrected coordinates below. Stops 9 and 10 have a site within 25 feet of the coordinates provided by the BLM.
Stops 11 and 12
Stops 11 and 12 are another story. Using the coordinates provided by the BLM for Stop 11 will get you near two sites. These may or may not be the BLM's sites for "Stop 11". Using the coordinates provided by the BLM for Stop 12 will get you near a single "sheep site". I doubt very seriously that this is what we are supposed to see at BLM's "Stop 12".
